OLPH ROSARY PRAYER GROUP
CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH teaches us in Numbers. no. 975- We believe that the Holy Mother of God, the new Eve, Mother of the Church, continues in heaven to exercise her maternal role on behalf of the members of Christ (Paul VI, CPG § 15).
No. 509 Mary is truly Mother of God since she is the mother of the eternal Son of God made man, who is God himself.
GOAL OF POSITION
The object of the ‘OLPH Rosary Prayer Group’ is a lay apostolic group in the Church, with a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary which will give glory to God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation in building the parish community. These committed men and women work hand in hand with Pastor to promote and spread devotion of Blessed Virgin Mary in the parish community and to do Christ works of mercy with love for God Almighty and for the salvation of souls. As a member of this ministry, we pray the rosary for the intentions of the Mother Church and the world.

Ministry Coordinator, and the Pastor.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Prior to each Sunday Mass and daily Mass, members of this ministry will lead parishioners in praying the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
2. Once a week on a specific day conducting OLPH novena prayers in the Church.
3. These members involve themselves wholeheartedly promoting Marian devotion in the parish community by distributing rosaries, rosary guides, Catholic literature seminars and also educating parishioners, who need any assistance, how to pray the rosary.
4. In honor of the feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary along with other parish groups, this ministry will organize a procession and pray the rosary in the church or parish premises to promote Marian devotion. They will pray the Rosary weekly on a specific day determined in the Church.
TIME REQUIRED
Designated members who will recite the Holy Rosary make themselves available in the Church half an hour before Mass.
Voluntarily ready to offer time if needed to promote Marian devotion in the parish.
LENGTH OF COMMITMENT 2 years
TRAINING PROVIDED
Ministry-specific training and guidance provided by coordinator and the Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS
Membership to this ministry does not require specific skills or superior spirituality, instead an ordinary Catholic with the willingness to give the required time and dedication to follow Christ and willing to promote Marian devotion, Mary who is Mother of Christ, Mother of the Church in the parish. The ministry is open to all Catholic men or women over eighteen years of age who have the good will to want to serve God in the capacity of aiding the Pastor to promote Marian devotion in the Parish.
BENEFITS TO THIS POSITION
That Mary, untouched by the stain of sin, may be an example and inspiration for all, that we might aspire for purity in our bodies, minds, and hearts.
For our brothers and sisters who have consecrated themselves to Jesus through Mary, that trusting in her prayers and example, they will more firmly renounce the works of Satan and resolve to follow Jesus more closely.
That all Christians, called to share Christ’s life, may also share his love for his mother Mary grow in holiness under her guidance.
